Fused Glass Art Classes Planned At Copper Moon
Children ages 4 and up can create a fused glass suncatcher, nightlight, magnets or garden stake in Kreative Kids classes at Copper Moon Studio, 7154 Front St., Holland. Costs range from $10.00 to $16.00 per project.
Dates include July 26 at 5:00 p.m., July 27 at 11:00 a.m. and July 29 at 1:00 p.m.

Safe Sitter Classes Teach Child Care Skills
St. Luke’s Hospital will offer Safe Sitter classes this summer for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. Sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3; and Friday, August 13 at the hospital.
Taught by nurses, the class will cover safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. The class costs $35.00 and includes lunch and snacks. Early registration is recommended; call (419) 897-8484. Special reservations can be made for groups of six or more, such as Girl Scout troops or 4-H Clubs.
Quilt Foundry Offers Kids’ Summer Camps
The Quilt Foundry will offer quilt camps for children ages 9 and up the weeks of July 26 and August 9. Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Each participant chooses fabric, and cuts, sews and irons the fabric to make a quilt. The quilt is tied with embroidery floss to complete. The cost is $100, which includes fabric and batting for the quilt and class instruction.

Laffalot Camp Offers New Twist On Sports
Laffalot Summer Camp combines traditional sports with new twists; non-traditional sports such as crazy ball, floor hockey, flag tag and pillo polo; and entertaining activities such as scavenger hunts in a high-energy, high-activity program. Offered for kids in grades one through seven, Laffalot will take place at St. Ursula Academy, Monday through Friday, July 26-30.

Magic School Bus Day Camp Slated In Monclova
The Magic School Bus Rides Again summer camp will take place at the Monclova Community Center, with topics to include Dinosaurs, Plants, the Human Body, the Food Chain and Kitchen Chemistry. The camp for ages 4-8 will be offered Monday through Friday, July 26-30 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

New Student Camp Set At Satori Martial Arts
Satori Martial Arts Center at 4444 Keystone, Maumee, will offer a new student camp for children ages 4-14 on Monday through Friday, August 2-6 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Each child will receive a uniform and take part in self-defense, coordination, agility and character development drills. The fee is $80.00. Library’s Summer Reading Club Under Way
The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is offering Summer Reading Clubs for area residents of all ages through Saturday, August 7. Preschool through fifth-grade participants will receive prizes based on the amount of time they read, or have someone read books to them. Middle school through adult readers can enter drawings to win prizes for each book they read.

Girl Scout Program Offered At Holland Library
The Holland Branch Library will host a Summer Girl Scouts program on Saturdays, through August 14 from 11:00 a.m. to noon. New members are welcome. The fee is $12.00.
